Obsessions – Candles

I love candles. Everyone that knows me that the best and easiest gift to give me. Candles are also the easiest way to bring a cozy/luxe factor to any room. They create a cozy and familiar environment in any space that you are in and you know what they say, smells are one of the strongest forms of memory. Whenever I am in a new space I like making sure that the space feels cozy and adding a candle is a good start. When I go on vacation I have even been known to take the mini versions of my candles on with me so that my hotel room can smell and feel just like home.

Over the years I have tried so many candles (most of them from Marshall’s), but recently I have been paying more attention to the Luxe candles you may find at Nordstrom or Bloomingdales. They use better ingredients, they last longer, and they really add a touch of classy to any room. Of course these also come at a pretty steep price point and although I cannot buy them all the time I still like to spoil myself once in a while with a Diptique or Jo Malone candle, especially when I know it will be used as a decorative piece and not necessarily lit all the time. So whether it be Earl Gray with Lemon, which is one of my all time favorite smells, or a unique green tomato (Jo Malone) I love them all and wanted to share some of the ones I have had my eye on for a while.

Revenge – Not only is this candle made of Food-Grade Paraffin but it also has a really nice floral scent. How can you not love the suggestive artistry on it?

Campbell’s Soup – Notes of Gazpacho!? this is very similar to that Jo Malone candle I mentioned earlier in the post.

Tom Dixon Royalty – Cologne, Bergamot, Lemon oh my! Bergamot is my favorite scent, which is why I drink Earl Gray all the time (more on my favorite teas soon!). Notes of Earl Gray Tea and Mint also come through and this is all poured in a gorgeous nickel vessel. This smell takes me back.

Byredo Burning Rose – I love anything rose scented it seems like thats been trending recently more and more, but rose can sometimes smell sweet which is why im glad they also added Birch Leaves and Woodsy tones to this candle. The classic black and whitedefinitely ads a classy touch to any night stand.

What are some of your favorite candles?
