Destinations – Miami

Miami was my home for a few years in my early twenties and it also happens to be one of my favorite places to visit. This time I stayed downtown and mostly hung out in uber-touristy Wynwood and design district area, which I usually tend to stay away from the touristy areas, so I decided to share some of the places I found and see if maybe you guys have any good suggestions for me.

I was lucky enough to have my man come with me and since he had never been to Miami I got to show him around and do some exploring of our own. Wanted to share just a few of the things we did, ate, saw.

Some cool graffiti left over from Art Basel probably explains how I feel about Miami perfectly.

The view from our AirBNB pool deck. Venetian Causeway was closed the whole time so we couldn’t walk across it, but how nice is that view of the beach?

Lunch at The Cheese Course that one of my old friends Tomas introduced me to. Had to share this place with my man, it was too good not to. This was 4 different cheeses and some of the best jam I have had in a while.

This sandwich, also from The Cheese Course was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had, so simple but so so good.

My man’s first Pisco Sours at SuViche in Wynwood- he was totally not a fan of the ingredients at first, but once he tried this, there was no going back. Needles to say we had too many of these that night and probably way too many rolls off of their happy hour menu.

Honestly I saved the best for last, this may not look like much, but this is life and the #1 place I go to when I am in Miami. Do not get thrown off by Little Haiti – Chef Creole is the most amazing creole fish outside of Nola probably.

What are some of your favorite Miami spots? There are so many!
