One of my favorite things to do is recipe research. I find it so satisfying to find that one recipe that you know will get you what you are looking for. Its even better when you make that recipe and it turns out exactly like you want it to. I have had the pleasure of being able to test many many recipes and I want to start sharing the really amazing ones that I have found. Enjoy!
- The most amazing and ‘easy’ pizza dough recipe. Easy because I don’t have a Kitchen Aid stand mixer, and because I wanted it to rise overnight in my fridge. This recipe has some kneeding required, but I was OK with that because the rest of the work was done over night. I made one classic cheese pizza and one BBQ chicken ranch pizza. The crust was perfect, so much better than frozen pizza. I have made pizza plenty of times, but this was exceptional. I highly recommend following the instructions, but I used all All Purpose flower because I did not have ’00’ next time though I am following the recipe to the T.
- I am a huge chicken fan, its fast easy, versatile and healthy. I like buying Amish chicken to support smaller businesses and I think Amish chicken tastes so much better. This Honey Lemon Chicken recipe is delicious for dinner, but I also reused leftover chicken, diced it with raw onion and used it on the BBQ pizza I referenced above and it was super good.
- There used to be a place near Bar Ilan University where I went to school that made the best Penne Vodka ever. I have been trying to recreate it ever since. I think this Penne alla Vecchia Bettola comes very close. I am a huge fan of ‘more sauce’ I always judge a dish by how much extra sauce there is (this is harder to achieve with cheesy pastas).
